Playing on a World of Warcraft PvP (Player versus Player) server offers an extra layer of excitement. Getting the opportunity to kill a wayward Dwarf is a nice change of pace from killing your average computer controlled monster.
Leveling a character on a PvP server, however can often be an annoying experience. On your average PvP server, it’s commonplace to see level 70s harassing lower level players. So what can be done to solve this issue? While the advice I offer won’t completely eliminate this problem, it should noticeably improve this issue for most players.
Play in a Group – Playing on a PvP server solo is a risky proposition. Without a group to offer back up, you’ll fall easy prey to an enemy player. By grouping with other nearby players, you improve your survival chances significantly.
Focus on Instances – By working on instances, you temporarily remove the PvP aspect from the game. Plus you get better loot from the monsters. Don’t focus too much on instances since you get more experience by turning in quests.
Pick a Server that Favors Your Side – Go to a site like WoW census (Google it) and find out which server has the most players for a particular side. If you’re Horde, starting a character on server that’s Horde dominant can make your playtime more fun and productive. (more…)
